The Toyota GR GT3 (Godjira) is more than just a concept—it’s a statement. While the base mod provided a visual feast, the physics often felt like a generic GT3 placeholder. This rework is a surgical overhaul designed to align the car with its real-world engineering targets: a front-mid engine, rear-transaxle beast with a “Hot-V” heart.

The “Godjira” Rework Philosophy

The mission was to move away from “balanced-by-feel” physics and move toward “balanced-by-data.” We’ve re-engineered the vehicle’s behavior to reflect its unique weight distribution and the relentless delivery of its twin-turbocharged V8, ensuring it stands as a legitimate contender against the established GT3 grid.

Key Technical Changes in This Update

1. Engine & Drivetrain Overhaul

The heart of the GR GT3 is now the 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 it was meant to have.

• Torque Mapping: We’ve implemented a “Hot-V” turbo logic, providing rapid spool-up and a massive torque plateau of 850 Nm, characteristic of modern forced-induction GT3 powerplants.
• Sequential Precision: The gearbox has been entirely rewritten. Gone are the sluggish transitions; the new 6-speed sequential (representative of the racing transaxle) features lightning-fast shift times and corrected ratios for optimal power-band management at tracks like Spa and Suzuka.

2. Geometry & Chassis Dynamics

The GR GT3’s long wheelbase and front-mid engine layout create a unique rotation point.

• Steering Geometry: We identified and fixed scrub radius and ackermann issues that caused mid-corner “understeer snap.” The car now points with the surgical precision required for endurance racing.
• Weight Bias: The center of gravity (CoG) has been lowered and shifted rearward significantly improving traction out of slow corners.

3. Aerodynamic Rebalance

The aggressive aero package is no longer just for show.

• Lift vs. Drag: A complete rework of the aero map ensures the massive rear wing and front splitter work in harmony. You will now find a genuine performance delta when adjusting wing angles, with a focus on high-speed stability without sacrificing top-end velocity.
• Dirty Air Sensitivity: Tweaked the wake physics to make following other cars more realistic, rewarding drivers who find clean air.

4. Tire & Suspension Refinement

• CSP Tire Specs: Updated tire compounds to the latest physics API, featuring improved thermal degradation and flat-spotting.
• Suspension Kinematics: Double-wishbone geometry at both ends has been tweaked to handle curbs more predictably, reducing the “bouncing” effect seen in the original mod.

New Features: CSP & AI

• Visual Fidelity: Shaders and materials have been completely overhauled for CSP (Custom Shaders Patch). Expect realistic carbon fiber weaves, improved PBR glass, and corrected emissives for night racing.
• Competitive AI: The AI lines and performance brackets have been recalibrated. The “Godjira” now fights for position intelligently, respecting track limits and defending lines like a professional GT3 driver.
• Bugfixes: Fixed the “shadow-clipping” on low-ride heights and resolved the intermittent collider issues when hitting high-kerbs.

30/08/2026 Nordschleife update: Added fantastic N3225 skin from demankz. Working wiper. Reduced engine inertia, reduced steering wheel lock to lock rotation to be closer to GT3 spec. Some small corrections.

Installation Requirements

Note: This is a physics and data rework. It requires the base FSR Toyota GT3 model to function.

• Required: Original 3D model folder for the Toyota GR GT3.
• Included: Updated data.acd (or data folder), extension, and ui folders.
• Method: Backup your original folder, then drag and drop the new contents into content/cars/toyota_gr_gt3. Overwrite when prompted.
