Mazda RT24-P DPi – KODO rework. Part of the AW Assetto Corsa Mods Collection.

The Mazda RT24-P DPi represents one of the most stunning engineering efforts of the DPi era, combining Mazda’s distinct “Kodo” aesthetic with raw, uncompromising prototype pace. However, as is often the case in the modding community, existing representations in Assetto Corsa suffer from generic physics—frequently relying on copied-over LMP2 templates or arbitrary force values that strip the car of its distinct technical identity.

Driving a high-downforce, high-boost prototype with recycled telemetry ruins the immersion. This comprehensive rework dismantles those shortcuts, rebuilding the RT24-P from the ground up to reflect genuine IMSA-spec telemetry, aerodynamics, and drivetrain behavior.

Core Physics & Drivetrain Rework

  • MZ-2.0T Engine & Boost Profile: The power and torque curves have been fully rebuilt to replicate the unique characteristics of the 2.0-liter, high-revving AER inline-4. The Garrett single-turbocharger boost delivery has been recreated to match the actual intake manifold pressures and BoP constraints of the real unit, eliminating the flat, generic power delivery of the previous physics package.
  • Xtrac P1159F Transmission: Rebuilt using publicly available gear ratio data for the 6-speed sequential transverse unit. Includes two distinct, track-appropriate gear set options to match real-world operational configurations.
  • Chassis & Weight Distribution: Corrected total dry mass, center of gravity height, and static weight distribution to match the Riley Mk. 30 carbon monocoque baseline, accounting for engine mass placement and ballast.
  • Suspension & Tires: Completely re-engineered high-downforce race suspension geometry and damper rates. Mated to updated tire physics that reflect the thermal degradation, slip angle limits, and grip characteristics of real-world prototype slick compounds.
  • IMSA Aero Balance: Rebalanced front and rear aerodynamic elements, diffuser efficiency, and drag coefficients to mirror true IMSA-spec downforce balance at speed.
  • Fuel Dynamics: Calibrated fuel consumption rates to reflect the high-boost, direct-injected nature of the MZ-2.0T under race conditions.

Visuals, Shader Patch & Audio

  • CSP Materials & Emissives: Upgraded exterior and interior material shaders to the latest Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) standards. Added functional emissive lighting for exterior light clusters.
  • Digital Dash & Number Illumination: Implemented a fully functional CSP digital panel and added illuminated side race numbers for night-stint realism.
  • Livery & Texture Optimization: Upscaled real-world car skins textures and re-saved all files in BC7 compression format for crisp visual detail with optimized VRAM usage.
  • Acoustics & Refinements: General audio tweaks to better capture the high-rpm turbo-four exhaust note, along with comprehensive bug fixes across the entire asset package.

25/08/2026 BOP Update: Rev limit set as per available IMSA data, added rev lights for second display.

Installation Requirements

  • Base Model: Model Is from F302,Peugeot905 and is not included with data.
  • Method: Extract the contents into the content f302_mazda_rt24p folder, overwriting the data, extension, and ui folders if necessary.
  • Requirement: Latest version of Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) is highly recommended for the lighting and tire shader fixes.
