SCG 004C: The Glickenhaus “Competizione” Rework. Part of AW Assetto Corsa mods collection.

The 004C is the racing evolution of the 004S, replacing the legendary 003C. In reality, racing regulations for the classes Glickenhaus targets (GT3, GTE, and SP-X) rarely favor supercharging. This rework aligns the car with its 2024–2026 racing specifications, emphasizing the low-center-of-gravity advantage of its small-block V8.

The 6.2L LT4 “NA” Conversion: Autotechnica Spec

While the road-going 004S is supercharged, the 004C racer uses an engine developed by Autotechnica Motori specifically for endurance reliability:

  • Engine Calibration: We have stripped the twin-turbo/supercharger logic and remapped the 6.2L V8 as a Naturally Aspirated unit. It now produces a BoP-compliant 520–550 hp with a massive 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque.
  • Low-Rev Grunt: Following Jim Glickenhaus’s own description, the engine doesn’t rev to F1 heights but offers incredible mid-range torque and cooling efficiency. We have simulated the 16-injector LT block logic for a smooth, high-displacement power delivery.
  • 6-Speed Xtrac Sequential: The drivetrain has been converted from a standard manual to the Xtrac sequential transmission. Shift times and gear ratios are now set to prototype endurance specs, providing that sharp, racing “clunk” on every gear change.

Aerodynamics & Chassis: The “SP-X” Balance

The 004C is famously “massively faster” than its predecessor due to its refined aero balance:

  • Balanced Downforce: We have rebalanced the aero map to correct the understeer issues of earlier mod versions. The car now features roughly 500 kg of downforce, split effectively between the “GT3-style” rear wing and the aggressive front canard/splitter combination.
  • Central-Seat Geometry: We have adjusted the suspension geometry and roll centers to account for the unique central driving position. This gives the car a neutral rotation feel that is distinct from traditional left or right-hand drive GT3s.
  • Dampers & Brakes: Modeled the KW racing dampers and AP Racing brake package to ensure the 1,117 kg chassis can be driven deep into corners with absolute confidence.

Visual & Technical Enhancements

  • Graphics Extension: Added custom CSP extension tweaks to enhance the unpainted carbon-fiber textures and the digital racing dashboard.
  • Bug Fixes: While the 3D model lacks a functional wiper, we have optimized the windshield shaders for better visibility in the wet.
  • Fixed Collider: A new 3D collider has been generated to ensure the car interacts properly with the Nürburgring’s aggressive curbs.

Installation Requirements

Note: This physics and graphics configuration is designed for compatibility with the RTM model.

  • Required: A valid installation of the base model by RTM is required to apply these technical updates.
  • Included: The 7z archive contains the updated dataextension, and ui folders.
  • Method: Replace the folders in your content/cars/scg_004c directory.
