Fittipaldi EF7 GTR: The Shark of Pininfarina Rework
The EF7 GTR is the realization of a two-time F1 champion’s dream: a car that is forgiving for gentlemen drivers but surgical in the hands of a pro. This physics overhaul takes the sleek, shark-inspired 3D model and aligns its performance with the high-revving, ultra-lightweight specs intended for its limited 39-unit production run.
The HWA 4.8L V8: Naturally Aspirated Purity
We have completely rebuilt the engine map to reflect the bespoke, high-revving V8 engineered by HWA AG:
- Engine & RPM Calibration: Reworked to produce 600 hp (608 PS) with a soaring 9,000 RPM redline. The power delivery is now linear and rewarding, removing any “turbo-like” surges found in unrefined mods.
- Torque Curve: Adjusted to 510 Nm (376 lb-ft). The torque is optimized for low-RPM launches, enabling the EF7 to achieve a 0–100 km/h time of under 3 seconds.
- Drivetrain Rework: The 6-speed sequential gearbox has been recalibrated with integrated housing logic. Shift times are now sharp and race-spec, reflecting the car’s HWA-engineered roots.
Aerodynamics & Ultra-Light Chassis
The EF7 was designed to be the “lightest GT car in the world,” and our physics now reflect that agility:
- Weight & Balance: Curb weight is set to a precise 1,000 kg (2,205 lbs). We have adjusted the weight distribution to a 52% Front / 48% Rear split, providing the front-end bite Emerson demanded for trail-braking.
- Shark-Inspired Aero: The aero map has been rebalanced to simulate the massive underbody airflow and the large integrated rear wing. The car now generates roughly 1,400 lbs of downforce at 155 mph, making it incredibly stable in high-speed sweepers.
- Suspension Geometry: We have implemented a new inboard-mounted coil-over shock configuration. The car is no longer “bouncy”; instead, it is firm and communicative, allowing for aggressive curb-hopping without losing the rear.
Technical & Visual Enhancements
- Graphics Extension: Added custom CSP extension tweaks to enhance the “shark skin” carbon-fiber bodywork and improve the glow of the digital dashboard.
- Brake Logic: Adjusted the racing-spec braking system for better heat dissipation and threshold feel, making it easier to manage the 1,000 kg mass.
- Bug Fixes: Includes a new 3D collider to prevent ground clipping and corrected UI metadata for accurate sorting in Content Manager.
Installation Requirements
Note: This physics and graphics configuration is designed for compatibility with the RTM model.
- Required: A valid installation of the base model by RTM is required to apply these technical updates.
- Included: The 7z archive contains the updated
data, extension, anduifolders. - Method: Replace the folders in your
content/cars/rtm_fittipaldi_ef7directory.
