Pagani Zonda S Roadster: The “Mechanical Purity” Rework

The Zonda S was a transition point for Pagani—moving from the 7.0L to the legendary 7.3L M120 AMG V12. This overhaul ensures the car feels like a high-speed piece of sculpture that requires a firm hand and a gated manual shift.

The 7.3L M120 AMG V12: Naturally Aspirated Thunder

We have remapped the engine to match the specific 2003 “Roadster” power curve:

  • Engine & Torque Rework: Calibrated to an authentic 555 PS (547 hp) @ 5,900 rpm and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) @ 4,050 rpm. The torque is now monumental from low revs, making the car feel effortless yet dangerous if the throttle is pinned too early.
  • Gated 6-Speed Manual: This is a crucial fix. The original mod often used a sequential shift; we have restored the Mechanical 6-speed manual specs. Shift timings are now dependent on your hand, and the gear ratios are matched to hit a top speed of 335 km/h (208 mph).
  • 0–100 km/h in 3.7s: The launch logic and tire friction coefficients have been adjusted to hit this benchmark accurately on street-legal tires.

Aero & Grip: Restoring the Balance

The Zonda S used an elongated nose and small rear flaps, but it was not a “high-downforce” car like the later Zonda R or Cinque.

  • Aero Reduction: We have significantly reduced the global downforce values. The car no longer feels “glued” at 150 km/h; instead, it becomes lighter and more aero-sensitive, accurately reflecting the 335 km/h top speed and its documented stability characteristics.
  • Mechanical Grip Rework: Re-calibrated the tire data for the Michelin Pilot Sport (255/35/19 Front, 345/30/19 Rear). The car now has massive longitudinal grip but will rotate beautifully if you trail-brake into a corner.
  • Weight Distribution: Fixed the dry weight to 1,280 kg (approx. 30 kg heavier than the Coupe) with a realistic mid-engine bias.

Visual & Technical Polish

  • Extension Rim Tweak: Updated the PBR material for the iconic APP forged aluminum wheels. They now have a more authentic metallic luster and depth, reacting better to ambient light and reflections.
  • Sound Normalization: Tweaked the V12 scream to be visceral without being distorted, ensuring the transition from low-end growl to high-end wail is seamless.
  • General Bugfixes: Fixed the dash-cam position and corrected the fuel tank size (85L).

Installation Requirements

Note: This physics and graphics configuration is designed for compatibility with the GeroDa74 model.

  • Required: A valid installation of the base model by GeroDa74 is required to apply these technical updates.
  • Included: The 7z archive contains updated dataextension, and ui folders.
  • Method: Replace the folders in your content/cars/zonda_s_roadster_geroda directory.
