Pagani Zonda F: The Fangio Tribute Rework

The Zonda F isn’t just a car; it’s a mechanical watch with 602 horsepower. It was the first Pagani to truly challenge the Ferrari/Porsche establishment on the Nordschleife. This rework ensures the car’s acceleration and handling feel as boutique and deliberate as the real hand-built Italian masterpiece.

The AMG 7.3L V12: Mechanical Purity

The M297 V12 is one of the greatest engines ever produced. We have carefully recalibrated its behavior to match the “analogue” soul of the Zonda F:

  • Revised Power & Torque: We have mapped the engine to its authentic 602 hp (443 kW) at 6,150 rpm and 760 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This provides a massive, linear swell of power that rewards high-RPM driving.
  • The 7,000 RPM Limiter: To match the real-world technical specs and protect the longevity of the large-displacement V12, we have lowered the engine limiter to 7,000 rpm. This gives the car a more realistic “peak” and prevents the unrealistic over-revving found in many public mods.
  • Drivetrain & Acceleration: By adjusting the 6-speed manual gear ratios and clutch inertia, we have matched the official 0–100 km/h time of 3.6 seconds and 0–200 km/h in 9.8 seconds.

Aerodynamics: Brochure-Perfect Data

Using original Pagani technical brochures, we have completely overhauled the aero map:

  • Downforce Calibration: We have implemented the specific aero figures of the Zonda F, which generates roughly 600 kg of downforce at 300 km/h (Clubsport spec).
  • Aero Balance: The distribution is set to a precise 45% front / 55% rear aero split, ensuring the car remains stable during high-speed braking without the “nose-diving” typical of older physics.
  • Front Splitter & Diffuser Logic: The larger front splitter and revised rear diffuser are now fully functional in the physics engine, providing meaningful ground effect at speed.

Visual & Technical Enhancements

  • Graphics Extension (CSP): We have added a custom ext_config.ini to enhance the carbon-fiber weave textures and the “Inconel” exhaust glow. The cockpit materials have been updated for better PBR (Physically Based Rendering) reactions under different lighting.
  • Suspension Geometry: We have modeled the Öhlins adjustable shock absorbers and the unique pull-rod suspension logic to give the car its signature “mechanical” grip.
  • Bug Fixes: Corrected 3D collider height to prevent bottoming out on flat curbs and fixed UI metadata for better sorting in Content Manager.

Installation Requirements

Note: This physics and graphics configuration is designed for compatibility with the OS/G-FORCE488 model.

  • Required: A valid installation of the base model by OS/G-FORCE488 is required to apply these technical updates.
  • Included: The 7z archive contains the updated dataextension, and ui folders.
  • Method: Drop the folders into your content/cars/pagani_zonda_f directory and overwrite.
