Nissan Z Nismo (RZ34): The “Takumi” Track Rework
The Z Nismo isn’t just a tune; it’s a total recalibration of the Z platform. This overhaul implements the enhanced cooling, increased downforce, and the aggressive shift logic of the Nismo-tuned VR30DDTT, ensuring it can chase down Supras and M2s with confidence.
The VR30DDTT Nismo-Spec: Peak Performance
We have meticulously remapped the 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 to match the factory Nismo output:
- Engine & Torque Rework: Calibrated to an authentic 420 hp and 521 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque. We have simulated the increased boost pressure and optimized wastegate control, providing a sharper throttle response than the standard Z.
- 9-Speed Semiauto Calibration: The drivetrain has been reworked to simulate the Nismo-tuned 9-speed automatic. Shift times in “Sport+” mode have been reduced by almost 50% compared to the standard Z, ensuring aggressive, seamless upshifts and rev-matched downshifts.
- Enhanced Cooling: Adjusted the thermal logic to reflect the Nismo’s superior cooling capacity, allowing for sustained track sessions without the power-cut issues found in earlier versions of the mod.
Chassis & Aerodynamics: Nismo Stability
The Nismo features a unique “G-Nose” and aerodynamic enhancements that provide functional downforce.
- Aero Rebalance: We have reworked the aero map to account for the widened rear spoiler and the front “canard” style lip. The car now exhibits significantly better high-speed stability and reduced front-end lift.
- Suspension & Tires: Tuned to match the 12.5% stiffer front springs and revised dampers. The tire data has been updated to the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX 060+ specs, offering a wider track (10mm wider in the rear) for a massive increase in mechanical grip.
- Traction Logic: Adjusted the E-LSD (Electronic Limited Slip Differential) behavior to be more aggressive, allowing you to put the 420 hp down earlier when exiting corners.
Visual & AI Improvements
- Extension Tweaks: Small but effective CSP tweaks have been added to enhance the red “Nismo” accents in the interior and improve the material definition of the Alcantara-wrapped Recaro seats.
- AI Rework: The AI has been retrained to utilize the 9-speed gearbox effectively. They are now much more decisive in overtaking maneuvers and handle the car’s high-speed turn-in more realistically.
- General Bugfixes: Corrected the wheel offsets to perfectly fill the widened arches and generated a new 3D collider for better track interaction.
