Lamborghini Murciélago (2005): The V12 E-Gear Rework
The 2005 Murciélago is a brutal symphony of Italian engineering. As the first major project under Audi’s stewardship, it combined the legendary Bizzarrini-designed V12 with modern build quality. This physics overhaul for the 101Creative model (physics by VR DRIVING) recalibrates the 6.2L powerplant and the E-Gear automated manual to ensure the car drives with the mechanical violence and prestige of the original.
The 6.2L V12: Naturally Aspirated Soul
The heart of the 2005 model is the 6192cc V12, and we have meticulously remapped its performance:
- Power & Torque: Reworked to match the authentic 580 PS (572 hp) @ 7,500 rpm and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) @ 5,400 rpm. The torque curve now features the characteristic surge at 5,000 rpm, reflecting the variable valve timing (VVT) and variable geometry intake (VIS) systems.
- E-Gear Drivetrain Logic: We have adjusted the drivetrain to simulate the first-generation 6-speed E-Gear system. Shift times have been calibrated to roughly 120ms in sport mode, providing that signature mechanical “kick” during gear changes that dual-clutch systems lack.
- Acceleration Dynamics: By correcting the drivetrain losses and final drive ratios, we have aligned the performance with real-world figures: 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
Chassis, Weight, and AI Overhaul
The Murciélago is a large car, and our physics rework ensures it feels substantial but controllable:
- Suspension & Weight: We have adjusted the suspension damping to be more progressive, removing the “skittishness” found in earlier versions. The weight distribution has been tuned to reflect the rear-heavy mid-engine bias, requiring the driver to be deliberate with weight transfer under braking.
- Aero Rebalance: The aerodynamic map has been tweaked to produce realistic stability at high speeds. While the vents animation is missing in this 3D model, the physics engine still calculates the cooling and drag impact as if the active cooling ducts were deployed.
- Enhanced AI: We have reworked the AI parameters, specifically the brake and throttle application logic, so that AI-controlled Murciélagos race more competitively and naturally in large grids.
Visual & Extension Improvements
- Graphics Extension: Using the Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) extension config, we have enhanced the interior materials and the exterior paint shaders. The iconic V12 is now properly showcased with improved engine bay lighting and material definitions.
- Technical Polish: Includes a corrected 3D collider and minor bug fixes to the UI and previews for better organization in Content Manager.
Installation Requirements
Note: This physics and graphics configuration is designed for compatibility with the 101Creative model.
- Required: A valid installation of the base model by 101Creative is required to apply these technical updates.
- Included: The 7z archive contains the
data, extension, anduifolders. - Method: Replace the files in your
