Koenigsegg Agera RS: The Record-Breaker Rework

The Agera RS isn’t just about power; it’s about the management of that power. This overhaul recalibrates the twin-turbo V8 to its absolute limit and adjusts the active aerodynamics to ensure the car stays glued to the tarmac at speeds that would lift a small aircraft.

The 5.0L Twin-Turbo V8: 1MW Optimization

The engine has been re-engineered in the data to reflect the 1 Megawatt optional upgrade found on the record-breaking cars:

  • Power & Torque Rework: Calibrated to produce 1,360 hp (1,341 bhp) and 1,371 Nm (1,011 lb-ft) of torque on E85. The turbo lag has been adjusted to simulate Koenigsegg’s patented variable geometry system, providing massive mid-range punch that doesn’t fall off above 300 km/h.
  • 0–400 km/h in 24 Seconds: We have specifically tuned the torque-to-traction ratio and gear ratios to make the 24-second sprint to 400 km/h possible, matching the 2017 world record telemetry.
  • 7-Speed Paddle Shift: Adjusted the Cima-developed gearbox logic. Shifts are now roughly 60ms, with the unique “dual-clutch on a single shaft” behavior modeled to minimize torque interruption.

Aerodynamics & Triplex Suspension

The Agera RS generates significant downforce, but it must shed that drag to hit its Vmax.

  • Active Aero Logic: The rear wing now correctly produces 485 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, but we have reworked the high-speed “bleed” logic so it flattens out at ultra-high speeds to allow the car to reach its 447+ km/h (277 mph) average top speed.
  • Triplex Damper Simulation: We have adjusted the rear suspension to simulate the third “Triplex” damper. This prevents the car from squatting too deep under its own massive downforce at speed, maintaining a stable aero platform.
  • Tire Tweaks: Updated the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 data. The tires now have a specialized heating curve to handle the friction of a 400+ km/h run without losing integrity, but they will still challenge you with wheelspin in the first three gears.

Technical & AI Enhancements

  • Brake Rework: The carbon-ceramic system has been adjusted for the massive thermal loads of a 400–0 km/h stop. It now provides the stopping power necessary to complete the full 0–400–0 cycle in approximately 33–36 seconds.
  • AI Calibration: The AI has been retrained to handle the extreme acceleration. They no longer “chicken out” on long straights and are more capable of managing the car’s RWD-only traction limits.
  • Graphics Enhancement: Custom ext_config.ini for CSP improves the carbon fiber weave detail and adds realistic light glow to the digital “Ghost” dashboard.
